The Bullet, as we know it, was first seen in 1948 when Royal Enfield entered works bikes in the Colmore Cup trials competition. Success soon followed, culminating in two Gold Medals at that year's International Six Day Trial (ISDT).
The bike was launched in road trim at the Earls Court Motorcycle Show in November 1948. Many variants were to follow: the 500cc Bullet; US export models (Indian Westerner and Woodsman plus the Royal Enfield Fury); the Trials Works Replica; the Big Head Bullet; and in the last few years at Redditch, the 350cc unit-constrction 'New Bullet'.
Royal Enfield India made many variations too: Classic and Deluxe models; the Army Bullet; the Taurus diesel Bullet; the Superstar; ES (Electric Start); Sixty-5 and the Electra X models. A plethora of aftermarket off-road and sporting derivatives were also developed.
This limited edition t-shirt is exclusive to Royal Enfield Books. It features one of the very first Royal Enfield Bullet advertisements, specially re-designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary. Made from heavyweight 100% cotton, the t-shirt print quality is very good and 3 sizes are available: medium, large and extra-large.
